Moving and growth

Move to Gut-Dämme-Straße 1 in Aachen with 600 m². That should be enough for the next few years! Fax orders on 30m thermal paper rolls were the result of an advertisement in the DCI.

Moving to Grüne Weg - the service remains

Moving the warehouse and offices to a 2,500 m² company building at Grünen Weg 22-24, with 500 m² of office space and 2,000 m² of warehouse space. Service remains at Gut-Dämme-Straße. Annual turnover of 120 million DM

Area and product portfolio are growing

We are establishing various branch facilities in Kranzstraße in Aachen with 2,600 m², an additional area around Grünen Weg 22-24 in Aachen, and in Alsdorf we are settling with a 3,500 m² facility for warehouse and office space. The first office at the Hamburg location will be rented. More than 200 million euros in revenue.

Anniversary and portfolio expansion

We will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the company on September 17 at Autohaus Jacobs, followed by a party at the Alten Kurhaus in Aachen.

Growth despite crisis year

On August 1, we will open an office in Braunschweig. Additional locations will follow and prove to be valuable decisions: including the pilot in Hamburg, as well as locations in Munich, Pohlheim, and Paderborn. We will clear the sales hurdle of 200 million euros.

Growth and participation in the CeBIT trade fair in Hanover

We establish api BV in Oldenzaal, Netherlands, and take over COS Computer GmbH in Polheim. The CeBIT appearance was a complete success. We close the year with a turnover of 529 million EUR.

Move to Baesweiler, Robert-Koch-Straße

Finally, in the summer, the camp will move to the new 25,132 m² area, at which point all the other camps will be disbanded except for Alsdorf. The employees are moving to Baesweiler with their offices, step by step, with an office and social area of 9,211 m². 732.5 million in revenue

25th anniversary and other trade shows

On September 20, we will host a house fair for our anniversary at the Kraftzentrale in Duisburg, with over 100 exhibitors and approximately 1,300 guests, on an area of about 6,000m².

Covid19 is slowing down the world

The WHO declares a pandemic. With full effort, all colleagues are mastering a difficult market situation with supply shortages, deadline shifts, material scarcity, homeschooling, lockdown, and many challenges that were unknown until then. The api team achieves another milestone at the end of the fiscal year, with a turnover of 1.05 billion EUR.

On September 20, api will celebrate its 30th anniversary at the Ruhrcongress in Bochum.

With over 6,500 square meters, more than 100 exhibitors, and 1,800 guests, the celebration was a complete success. We look forward to the next 5 years and would like to thank everyone who makes this success possible.
